Signs you may have a mold problem

  • A musty or earthy smell, especially in bathrooms, closets or under sinks
  • Dark spots or stains on drywall, ceilings, baseboards or grout
  • Peeling paint, warped flooring or bubbling walls after a leak
  • A recent leak, flood or roof problem that wasn't fully dried
  • Allergy-like symptoms that get worse at home

Our mold remediation process

  1. Inspection and moisture mapping — we use moisture meters and thermal imaging to find mold and the water feeding it, including behind walls and under floors.
  2. Containment — we seal off the affected area with barriers and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of the property.
  3. Removal — contaminated drywall, insulation and materials are safely removed; salvageable surfaces are cleaned and treated.
  4. HEPA air filtration — air scrubbers capture airborne spores during and after the work.
  5. Drying and moisture control — we dry the structure with commercial dehumidifiers and fix the moisture source.
  6. Rebuild — we put back drywall, paint and flooring so the space is ready to use.

Why mold is common in San Diego homes

Coastal humidity, marine-layer mornings and older plumbing make slow leaks a common cause of mold in San Diego County. A supply line dripping behind a cabinet or a small roof leak can grow mold within 24–48 hours if it isn't dried properly. That's why we treat the water problem, not just the visible mold.

Mold remediation FAQ

Does homeowners insurance cover mold removal?

It depends on your policy and the cause. Mold that results from a sudden covered water loss, like a burst pipe, is often included in that claim. Mold from long-term humidity or maintenance issues usually is not. We can document the damage and help you with the claim.

Can I clean mold myself?

Small surface spots on hard surfaces can often be cleaned. If mold covers a larger area, is inside walls, or keeps coming back, it needs containment and professional removal so spores don't spread through the house.

How long does mold remediation take?

Most residential jobs take a few days, depending on how much material needs to be removed and how long the structure takes to dry. We give you a timeline after the free assessment.
